Got an request to make the LaTeX version prettier. For persistence, it needs to be integrated into the process that generates it from MD.

Just adding a changed LaTeX file won't work, since it will be overwritten next time a change to the README is made.

Possible solutions:

  • Cop-out: add text that instructs author to change formatting manually
  • patch: use Unix command line tools (sed) to modify the relevant lines in every outputted LaTeX version as post-processing
  • More robust pandoc command line in post-processing?
