The VAR (variability) characteristic can cause a star to show up as orange in the star catalog plot. Along with ASPQ2 and ASPQ3 these are currently hidden from view in the pop-up. However, I suspect VAR is the most common cause.

I thought that class was the most common cause, but that's not an opinion
supported by facts. To get VAR, it looks like I'd need to patch Ska::AGASC
(unless we want to move to Python agasc).
