Hi, for modbus RTU, the end of frame is reached when a silent intervals of at least 3.5 character times occur on the data line. The problem with serial over USB, is it can introduce some jitter. Especially for huge frames. By default, this script try to compute this value from the baudrate, but this value can be inadequate due to USB latency. You can override the end of frame interval value with "--timeout" argument, for example "modbus-scan-serial --timeout 0.010" will wait 10ms instead of the default value.
