Missing synchronize with google alternative #183
Comments
There are certainly ways to implement them, I just have zero time for it right now. |
So it's planned? I have no experiences in programming, only can help with testing ;-) |
Not planned per se. I have thought about it though. |
Simplenote is also a candidate |
No, as far as I see synchronize only with Simplenote server. |
It's an alternative in the sense of providing options. Obvious candidates are Dropbox, Simplenote, Evernote, ActiveSync. |
Maybe #120 would solve that issue (VTODO/CalDAV was just a possibility), @spacecowboy seems inclined to work on file-based sync, so this would naturally work with remote file sync solutions (at least Dropbox, Owncloud...). Is there any progress on this? |
How would you feel about an option to sync to a git server? I'm interested in being able to sync to a server I control, and that seems like the simplest option. Is this a dumb idea? |
Well you'd need to have an implementation of git accessible on the device and I don't think that's entirely optimal. What about merge-conflicts? |
I guess I was thinking of using Git just as a file store, a la git-annex (http://git-annex.branchable.com/), but you're right that that would be a lot of infrastructure for what is basically just secure FTP. |
Yes, and then one might as well use SSH directly. But version control would Jonas Kalderstam On 15 January 2014 15:33, Aaron Williamson [email protected] wrote:

That's true, but I think juup is right that for that purpose, you'd be better off using SyncML than trying to have git sort out the conflicts. |
Thanks for this app. It's really a great app, which I want to use.
But I'm missing a possibility to synchronize tasks on an other way as google tasks (e.g. Microsoft-Exchange-Account, Caldav or Funambol (Syncml)).
Is there any plan to implement such feature?
Thanks
Jacob
