Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When using the search functionality in a selection prompt (especially in a multi page setting)
it can be very difficult to gain alot of use out of the search functionality because it currently doesnt actually filter or change your selection in the prompt

Describe the solution you'd like
wouldnt it make more sense to instead of highlighting the text you are searching for, filter the entire list based on that query similar to how a regular search box in for example lets say a browser would work?
Or atleast make it so that when you search for something and press enter or space it will select the top most match instead of the current selection

Additional context
Heres an example of where this is a problem, i have a selection option outside of the viewport, but i cant see the match even happen due to the list not moving or filtering to the best match
