The k8s_sat NodeAttestor plugin in SPIRE has been deprecated since 1.9.0 and is set for removal in an upcoming release: spiffe/spire#5681

The examples in this repository should migrate away from k8s_sat node attestation.

Wider question about the templates....

Should we consider deprecating/removing the example raw manifests all together since we have the helm-charts?

If not, should we consider generating the static manifests from the chart to reduce maintenance?

@kfox1111 That seems reasonable. These Kubernetes manifests haven't been updated very often, so it might be more stable to just depend on the Helm charts now.
