I’m reaching out regarding an issue I’ve encountered with the currency settings in your app, as well as a question about handling multiple currencies.
Firstly, I’ve set the currency in the app to Euro (€), but I’ve noticed an issue with how amounts are processed. My phone is set to German language and formatting, where a comma (,) is used as the decimal separator for euros and cents (e.g., 24,70 for 24 euros and 70 cents). However, in the app, when I input amounts using a comma, it seems to interpret the comma as a thousands separator instead of a decimal separator. As a result, the entered amounts are auto-filled incorrectly, making it difficult to input the correct values. For example, entering 24,70 results in a completely different value being saved.
Could you please look into this and let me know if there’s a fix or a workaround for this issue? It would be incredibly helpful, as I plan to use the app during my upcoming trip to Costa Rica next week.
Additionally, I’d like to ask about the best way to handle expenses in multiple currencies. For instance, my flights were paid in euros, but most of my expenses during the trip will be in Costa Rican colóns. Is there a way to use the app effectively with multiple currencies, or would I need to manually convert all expenses to euros before entering them?
I really enjoy using Spliit and hope this can be resolved soon. Thank you for your time and support!
Best regards,
Jan Spatschek
