Hi 👋,

I'm the creator of Avo, the most beautiful, easy-to-use Ruby on Rails admin framework that helps developers create custom apps 10x faster.

Previously built an influencer platform at Adore Me, created development tools at Acquia, and tried to revolutionize e-commerce at Two Tap (Acquired by Honey).

In late 2020 I quit my job to work on my passion project Avo.
I worked on Avo part-time for about a year building polished features ready to go out into production ✨

Now I'm making Avo into a business so everyone can use this polished product to push apps to production 10x faster.

Avo milestones

  • July 2022 - Custom resource for has_many, Custom fields in resource tools (1st iteration of nested fields), Sidebar improvements, Text field protocol, File field accept, Resource controls improvements.
  • June 2022 - StimulusJS integration, run actions silently, better visibility block in actions
  • May 2022 - Resource tools, Filter improvements (reactive filters), Tags field, better association scoping & multiple action alerts
  • April 2022 - Menu editor
  • March 2022 Launched v2.0 with dashboards and mobile-ready theme
  • April 2021 custom tools & pages land in Avo
  • March 2020 launched v1.0 with a new API and powered by Hotwire
  • January 2020 started to rewrite Avo to feature the Hotwire stack
  • September-November 2020 pushed out a lot of customization features and fixed a ton of bugs
  • September 2020 First beta release

Current progress

We're working on bringing even more powerhouse features to Avo to improve performance, developer experience, and shipping velocity:
