👋 I'm Ryan, software engineer and open source developer. I'm passionate about application security, developer productivity, and testing. I've worked as a software engineer at various application and API security companies. In addition, I've worked as an application security engineer at Gradle to improve the security posture of their product Develocity (formerly Gralde Enterprise).

I began my career building JVM instrumentation agents, which inspired me to make the project ryandnes/javaagent-gradle-plugin. I wanted a vendor-agnostic way to use jvm instrumentation agents, customize them, and easily switch between them.

After log4shell broke in December 2021, I became very interested in using jlink to create minimal runtimes for Java applications. This ultimately led to me developing and releasing the project ryandens/jlink-gradle-plugin
