I'm an open-source accounting geek. I contribute to:

  • Ledger: I'm a co-maintainer of ledger. I provide user support, work on documentation and QA, and coordinate new releases.
  • ledger2beancount: I'm the maintainer of ledger2beancount. I add new features and functionality, perform QA, and maintain the extensive documentation.
  • Beancount: I'm a contributor to beancount. I perform QA, help with documentation, submit bug reports and fixes.

I received the O'Reilly Open Source Award in 2013 for my contributions to the open-source ecosystem. I tend to focus my energies where I can make the biggest impact (usually areas that other people neglect). I hope the GitHub sponsor program will allow me to spend more time on improving open-source projects.

I'm a member of the Debian project. I help open-source non-profit organizations and served on the boards of the Open Source Initiative, Software in the Public Interest, and Software Freedom Conservancy.

Thanks for your support, which allows me to spend more time on open source!
