It'd be nice to show an error message when I'm denied access, it took me a bit to work out what had happened - no errors when sending messages either

This is from a spec that is called Standard Replies that halloy would need to implement to see these errors

imo it's a good idea since lots of IRC software today uses standard replies as a supplement to error numerics

another thing to note is the soju.im/account-required capability, which indicates than an account is needed even before registration begins.
