How to add rules - PDF - Open with...

Hi,

My issue is that I would like to add Foxit PDF Editor and PDF Editor in the Open with... menu for .pdf files.

Paths for these programs are:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\FoxitPDFEditor.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe"

After reading readme, I still don't get how to proceed.

Hi @Mitia99,
in the "Rules" window you need to add a new entry by clicking the "+" button and then enter the name Foxit PDF Editor and command C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\FoxitPDFEditor.exe %file%. The same can be done for Acrobat Reader. Does that work for you?

Is there a way to have that rule only for PDF? I mean that now it shows with any file type.

No, this is not implemented in EverythingToolbar currently. As an alternative, if you click "Choose app" it should open Windows' own app selector which should respect the corresponding file type and suggest the appropriate applications (but I can't currently double-check this behavior).

You can add several rules for *.pdf
One of it is on top, as default for Enter.
Use the context menu to select one of the other entries.
