We’ve recognized performance issues with Gatsby v4.7, and even an update to v5.8 offers only minor improvements due to the stagnation in Gatsby’s development and plugin ecosystem. Similarly, the rebrand of NetlifyCMS to Decap CMS has not introduced significant advancements, raising concerns about its long-term viability.

Given these factors, we’re considering transitioning this template to a new framework and CMS. This marks the final release of Gatsby Starter Foundation.
