Milestone 1: Initial Setup and Soft LaunchDate: 1st September 2024 – 30th September 2024 Deliverables:Develop Recognition Guidelines Recognition guidelines were developed prior to the soft launch. These guidelines ensure fair and meaningful recognition of contributions within the community.
1.1 Develop Brand Kit (In Progress): The #Tacovation Brand Guideline is being developed as a comprehensive tool for community members to reference when creating or building content utilizing the brand. The kit includes design elements, logo usage rules, colour schemes, and typography to ensure consistency and cohesion across all platforms. The Brand Kit is approximately 70% complete and can be accessed publicly here: Tacovation Brand Kit. 2. Create Social Media & Nomination Templates A series of social media and nomination templates were designed to support the #Tacovation program’s launch, making posts visually engaging and easy to replicate for community members. Social posts began through Nietta’s personal account, transitioning to the Stackslink account once established.
The program’s initial phase was launched across Twitter (X), encouraging community interaction and recognition. The hashtag #Tacovation was created to track social interactions with the program and nominations posted on X. 4. Collect and Integrate Community Feedback throughout September Feedback was collected through various avenues to improve the initial launch, with regular updates to the program based on this feedback. These insights will be carried into Phase 2.
4.1 Nomination and Data Collection Nominations were collected via a Google Form and stored in a Google Sheet. This data was used to determine the top 5 nominees and top 5 nominators.
4.2 Winners Announcement Winners were announced on 3rd September 2024 at 9 AM EST via a live Stacklink Xspace hosted by Nietta, Goodkitty, and Peacelove Music.
A follow-up post was made to confirm all winners:
