mac//3.8.15: tool bar buttons overlap "All notes" text #730
Comments
Hi @andy-goryachev, thank you for bringing this to our attention; we'll look into it! |
thanks! |
Hi @andy-goryachev, does this only happen when the View & Tags pane is hidden? (We'll still try to fix it, of course.) |
Sorry, not sure what you mean by view & tags pane. There is a tags menu item under Options -> Display, the issue can be seen regardless of whether the tags are enabled or disabled. |
also in 3.8.16 |
Hi @andy-goryachev, sorry for not elaborating. It looks like the Views & Tags pane is hidden in your screenshot as it was in a test by another member of the Standard Notes team, so I'll create a report for the dev team to review. 🙂 Here's an example of what collapsing the tags pane and notes list column look like. |
May I suggest something? This expanding panes feature is not discoverable - one can stumble across the feature when told, or when the user accidentally moves the divider sideways when scrolling. You may want to add a menu item to expand/collapse individual panes (Show Folders?). |
Thank you for confirming and thanks for the suggestion, @andy-goryachev! I'll take note of that as something to consider when the apps are redesigned. 🙂 |
this issue reappeared in 3.11.2 or earlier, on mac os x 12.2.1 |
You'll have to make sure your tags pane is fully collapsed in order for the UI to recognize that it should shift the columns. I can see from your screenshot that the tags pane is still sticking out by 10px or so. |
The leftmost panel cannot be collapsed (with a mouse). Even if one can grab the line to drag (it's a one pixel wide target area, NOT ACCESSIBLE for people with limited mobility), the leftmost panel is still there. This issue has been fixed earlier, and reappeared. I am a paying customer. Please address this issue, as well as #838 Thank you! |
You should be able to double click on the panel resizer to collapse it. Does that work for you? |
it does work, but hitting a one pixel target with a double click is rather difficult. what I think is needed is a button to expand/collapse the side panel. it is not a frequently used one, so maybe even a menu option somewhere. |
this might be specific to mac. 3.8.15 update has os tool bar buttons overlapping some text in the top left corner, see attached:
was fine in 3.8.13
os x 10.14.6
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
