If installed through Snap and with iBus running the keyboard doesn't work in Standard Notes desktop app (and some other snap apps) on Manjaro 21.1. Killing iBus solves the problem. This means, however, that there is no way to use the app to enter Chinese or Japanese characters with iBus.
The keyboard does, however, work in Visual Studio installed through snap, so I am not sure whether this is a snap problem or it has something to do with how Standard Notes interacts with snap.
