It's unclear to an outsider what DS refers to, and to a person unfamiliar with the Python ecosystem, unclear that the Py refers to Python (assuming I've understood correctly). This is why people parse it as DSP. A simple explainer anywhere prominent (docs, README) would go a long way toward making the name legible and meaningful to the public. I've looked and not found an explanation.

Claude speculates that it stands for Domain-Specific Python, but there's no easily found reference to that when I search the web
