Hi I noticed the MIT license on this repository, SMPL is covered under a different, significantly less permissive license that prevents commercial use. Per their license, derivative works are also covered meaning MIT cannot apply to this code base from how I see it interpreted. What part of this code base exactly is taken from SMPL? I'd like to remove that part if possible for my own use.

This codebase does not use any code from SMPL. It uses SMPL as the parametric human model -- this is how humans are represented in 3D. Although the code in the repo can be used, all the models are trained to predict SMPL meshes, which means you cannot get any output of the models if you cannot use SMPL.
