Unsubscribe links not working

I'm running version 240119 of the plugin. Unsubscribe links are not working for users. The following format link is included at the bottom of subscription emails. But when users click the link it just takes them to the homepage of my blog.

I'm not sure if this is related but I also see a warning in the Management Page section of the admin interface: "Warning: it looks like the value you are using may be incompatible with your permalink structure". My regular permalink structure is
