- Download your new content into separate folders. Ideally name the folders to match the content type so ClrVpin will automatically assign the content type when merging (next step), e.g. "launch audio", "backglasses", "tables", etc.
- Run re-builder over each content type (aka folder) to merge the content. Recommend this is done as a 2 pass..
- 1st pass: trainer wheel ON to confirm the merging behaviour works as desired.
- 2nd pass: train wheels OFF to do the actual merge.
- Run scanner to fix (rename, delete, replace, etc) the merged content. This can be done for all content types at once, or alternatively be performed one at a time. Recommend this is done as a 2 pass..
- 1st pass: trainer wheel ON to confirm the fix behaviour works as desired.
- 2nd pass: train wheels OFF to do the actual fix.
- After a table (or description) is renamed in the database (e.g. via PinballY edit table information).
- Run scanner to fix (rename) the existing content to match.
- With trainer wheels ON, run scanner with all relevant content types selected.
- Examine the output windows to review the audit:
- Statistics: review totals of missing files, percentage missing, etc.
- Results: using the filter options, review the missing items for each table
- Explorer: select the icons to open the content (e.g. tables, graphics, video, sounds, etc)
- Run scanner to remove unused files..
- Unknown files: files that don't match any record in the database
- Unsupported files: files that match records in the database, but are not needed (e.g. duplicates, backups, etc)
