I have checked the Changelog that the issue is not already fixed.
I believe this issue is a bug, and not a general technical issue, question or feature requests that can be discussed on the forum.
Describe the bug
Strawberry does not find some songs in the collection by the exact title, although they are in the database.
That happened a couple of times, but now I think maybe I could narrow it down a bit.
The search filter: title:Three Times A Lady returns nothing.
But searching for: title:Three Times a Lady finds the song.
See screenshots...
Another example: title:condename A Tu amor finds nothing. title:condename a Tu amor finds the song.
To Reproduce
Like above?
Expected behavior
Obvious
Screenshots:
System Information:
Operating system: Linux Mint 22
Strawberry Version: 1.1.3
QT version: 6.4.1
Additional context
Not the same thing, but I'm unsure if I should open an issue for that:
Since the new collection model was introduced, spaces after the search prefix are no longer ignored.
After a post of mine strawberry was modified to have the same behavior as clementine - to ignore spaces after the search prefix. But with the new model this was removed again.
Another thing that is really bothering me, but I'm unsure if one could call that a bug, is that old search behavior was to ignore accents on letters. With my huge collection of Spanish titles it has become very difficult to find duplicate tracks, or artists names, which are one time written with accent and the other time not.
