Latest commit & version v1.0-beta.1 0080766 changed the architecture significantly from what I understand (haven't looked too deep yet) tho while before you'd just install this package, since beta.1 it's "just" an engine you plug into surrealdb.js, so you basically use surrealdb.js as you would anywhere else already just that when providing surrealdb.node as engine it can connect locally in-memory or persisted to a specific file like a sqlite db.
Also it's now exclusively powered by their own storage engine SurrealKV
Think this is a pretty nice move 👌🏼
