Hi there! This is my small lesson suggestion for my Carpentries Checkout. This is from the section "Creating Publication-Quality Graphics with ggplot2" (link)[https://swcarpentry.github.io/r-novice-gapminder/08-plot-ggplot2/index.html]. My suggestion is for the first example, which is a plain geom point, to change and add color and axes labels and titles. This might be useful because then students could see all of the components at the very beginning and what a final product might look like. Then the rest of the lesson can continue to build layer-by-layer as it currently is with the aesthetic function plus all of the geom layers and color aesthetic and titles. As a student, I think it would be helpful to see what a finished product looks like at the beginning so we know what we are striving towards! Thank you and I hope this contribution was helpful! -chfal
