tgfx windows x86 x64 build 2945 #57
Comments
I have experienced the issue of taking multiple 'apply' hits to get a parameter to stick. Try txFX build 3009 - I believe it is better than 2945 |
Nope 3009 SUCKS too.. A bunch of settings are queried incorrectly now with inch mode.. I feel like I'm being "forced" to the metric system.. :) |
Not sure how to replicate what you are saying mcgyvr? I just loaded 3009 Now all my settings are showing up in inches? On Sun, Apr 13, 2014 at 3:24 PM, mcgyvr [email protected] wrote:

CMC, Hitting apply should do ALL settings in the "group" hitting enter (when Riley On Sun, Apr 13, 2014 at 3:39 PM, Riley Porter [email protected] wrote:

I'll try a bit more disciplined test next time I have the machine hooked up. Could be the race condition you mention, however a typical scenario is: On 04/13/2014 03:50 PM, ril3y wrote:

No that is not what I was talking about. If that is what it is doing. On Sun, Apr 13, 2014 at 4:08 PM, cmcgrath5035 [email protected]:

wait a minute.. wtf is going on here.. I went back to just trying to use coolterm and I'm finding that many settings are not being saved after I turn tinyg off or do a ctrl+x reboot... So its not tgfx its tinyg board not saving any of the settings after its turned off or some damn thing.. see here |
That is odd. I think you should just send your board to me and I will Do you have the contact info ? Hit me up on email and set it up. On Sun, Apr 13, 2014 at 5:21 PM, mcgyvr [email protected] wrote:

I'm gonna send you both boards.. The V7 with the verification error and the V8 with this problem now.. I tried to send an email to the customerservice AT synthetos email about the v7 weeks ago and you never responded or it didn't make it. I've been screwing with tinyg off and on for like 2 years now and to this day have not gotten anything close to "stable".. I get a machine built.. get tinyg going and hit nothing but walls..get mad and throw it back in the closet again.. months later bust it out again.. try to update or whatever and more problems and back into the closet again.. I'm very close to bitting the bullet and going somewhere else even though the "promise" of Tinyg seems excellent.. real life so far hasn't been anything close.. Please..please..please. Riley.. Help me get this machine running and STABLE.. |
I'm just collecting dust now :) This issue can be closed I guess because it seems its my board that has lost its "mind" |
ahha! For the public record got your mail and your boards will go out as On Sun, Apr 13, 2014 at 5:59 PM, mcgyvr [email protected] wrote:

Just found out this is not an issue with tgfx but rather a BIG bug in tinyg |
Running firmware 412.01..
Connected tgfx to my tinyg v8 that I had previously setup via coolterm and had configured for "inch" mode.. Once tgfx/tinyg connected I checked all the settings..
All axis/motor settings were queried properly except travel per rev.. The settings in tinyg were changed/displayed to mm in tgxf instead of inches.. And I'm not sure if it was just the first time I tried changing it or the fact that I didn't have a leading 0 but when I entered .1 and hit apply and it still displayed .0039 which is still in mm again..(.1 divided by 25.4) then I entered 0.1 this time with the leading 0 (again might have just taken 2 times to work) and it displayed/saved 0.1 this time..
All 4 motor tabs had this problem.. Haven't tried in a newer version yet..
