Create TS Data Source for auditing Groups?

I recently had some folks request for the ability to see what users are in what groups more easily. Unfortunately, bringing Groups into the existing data sources would result in row duplication. Thoughts on creating a separate data source for Groups-Users? Something like this...

I'm definitely interested in this so we can track utilization among all users for a given group with access to given project. I've created my own data source as shown above and can list users per group but I haven't been able to join/relate this to any of the other TS data sources, such as TS Events which I use to show utilitzation. I would think this is a somewhat common ask since assigning access by Group is the best practice.
