[Plugin] How to get project used css in plugin <purge-issue> ?

Hi tailwindcss team ,

I used css-var to realize the themes with tailwind ( inspired by tailwindcss-themer )

the plugin setting like below

addBase({
   'root': {
       '--fontSize-custom' : '14px'
   },
   '.ja': {
       '--fontSize-custom' : '12px'
   }
})

But , As the css-var increase and not purged , make the output.css very huge ,

Does there any params passing from plugin.withOptions that helps to purge the css-var that project not using ?

For example

if( options.usedCss.includes('text-custom') ){
  addBase({
     'root': {
         '--fontSize-custom' : '14px'
     },
     '.ja': {
         '--fontSize-custom' : '12px'
     }
  })
}
