Quality Engineer (I)Nov 2023 - Present

- Currently working on the delivery of the Ministry of Manpower's (MOM) Workpass Integrated System (WINS) Work Permit project, which handles approximately 850,000 issued passes annually.
- Designed and implemented a comprehensive AWS cloud networking solution to connect with the internet and on-premises data servers, ensuring integration of the app with relevant external and internal systems.
- Leveraged Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to develop and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure in a DRY manner, transitioning away from ClickOps. This approach effectively prevented configuration drift, addressing issues encountered in the previous WINS project.
- Created robust deployment pipelines on GitlabCI to automate code deployment across multiple environments. Reduced deployment time to the staging environment from 3 hours in a previous WINS project to under 30 minutes, ensuring a more streamlined process.

Associate Quality Engineer Jul 2022 - Nov 2023

- Successfully delivered MOM's WINS EP/S Pass project, a critical initiative supporting Singapore's foreign workforce of 1.3 million.
- Designed, tested, and deployed end-to-end features for EP/S Pass transactions, which constitute the majority of issued work passes. Implemented features for the mandatory qualification verification policy change mandated by MOM.
- Adopted the testing pyramid and spearheaded automated test-driven development initiatives, reducing QA time and increasing team velocity.
- Refined feature requirements and participated in Sprint Review sessions with users, business analysts and UX designers. Achieved and maintained a user satisfaction score of 5.6/6.
- Developed a comprehensive data-driven regression testing framework and data scraping scripts from scratch using Selenium and Python.
- Utilized pytest-bdd to design and implement behavior-driven tests, simulating user actions to enhance web UI testing for the internal application.
- Developed automated scripts using Katalon for the efficient submission of semiconductor orders on the staging environment, significantly speeding up regression testing processes.
