This is really good stuff, Thank you for working on this!!! I am looking at working Hashicorp Vault into this for password/Keystore and SSH Cert singing ( I am in a scenario where I could be ssh-ing from any number of machines to any number of machines{including newly created vms})....so I would like to basically give my Vault info to VMs and whatnot, then get signed cert from vault and ssh to the machine. This will keep me from having to provide all of my ssh keys to everything...Is that something you are looking at?

Hi @j33pguy, thanks for reaching out. I had a recent blog post talking about how we are able to further customize the Packer module. Feel free to take a look at Use Packer like a Pro

Any PR is definitely welcome. I will suggest checking out the blog post for some foundation knowledge about the basic/advanced use cases before integrating new features into the existing module. As you can tell, the file structure is already modularized at some level. Let me know how you think, and I am happy to work with you along the way :)
