Steps to reproduce

  1. Open https://t.me/setlanguage/zhcncc webpage
  2. Click the "set language" button

Expected behaviour

A pop-up box should appear saying "This site is trying to open Telegram Desktop"

Actual behaviour

Nothing happened

Operating system

Windows 10 pro

Version of Telegram Desktop

5.3.10 x64

Can I create the registry myself to implement the calling client?

It's done automatically on first launch and every update. You can also try registertg cheat code but it might be that it's already registered, just you have a different default for tg:// in system settings.
