Ideas to solve humanity's biggest challenges

Prize Bounty

1000 DAI first place.

Challenge Description

Humanity is facing numerous challenges today and clear risks in the near future. Is your project aiming to address some of these issues? We want to help.

We want you to plan and design a new technology that addresses a current social or environmental issue. Some topics include pandemics, mental health, access to education, and climate change. In particular, your solution can leverage the Textile Hub's free APIs to deliver IPFS or Filecoin to the widest audience possible. Can your project leverage the features of IPFS and Filecoin to directly help solve the bigger challenge?

Submission Requirements

Eligible projects must use the Textile Hub APIs to leverage access to IPFS and/or Filecoin. Projects may spend more time on design and planning, and that is okay, as long as there is a clear understanding of how they will leverage IPFS or Filecoin over the Hub. Still, we would prefer to see a minimum MVP that uses the APIs. The final project doesn't necessarily need to be available in a public marketplace or listing, but a video demo should demonstrate the solution working against the production tool. Relevant portions of your code will also need to be made available.

Judging Criteria

Judges will select up to two winners based on functionality, design, and potential. We will judge functionality and design based on the submitted demo or video showing the tool in action. We will judge potential based on a written submission that describes the target market, the expected demand for the solution, and any plans for reaching an audience with the tool.

Winner Announcement Date

All submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM EDT on Oct 15th, 2020, to be considered.
