I am testing openFortiGUI 0.9.5 in a LinuxMint 20, after using the official (horrible) client.

When I start a connection it shows "Connecting..." forever. Looking at the logs, I see "Enter PEM pass phrase:", so I think openfortivpn is stuck waiting for the pass phrase for my key file.

I do not want to have a key file without password laying around in my work laptop.

The official client can store this pass phrase, but I think openfortigui does not ask for it (nor have got a field in the config dialog).

Hi,

thanks for your request.

OpenFortiGUI does not support password prompts for keys yet, if possible remove the passphrase from the key.

Will mark this issue as feature request.

Thanks for your answer.

I am afraid that leaving my personal certificate key without passphrase in a work laptop is not a proper solution for me.

We use personal certificates to sign forms and reports (almost daily) at work (goverment agency), and they are the very same certificates you use for your personal matter.

Hello,
We have the same situtation as @alfem. We used a personal certificate with password, and on your old forticlient it's working.
Can you add a this features to the openfortigui version? Thanks.
