This is the first time I literally have had to give up trying to use a project, none of the help/wiki articles makes any sense for someone new to this project, and none of the getting started stuff works, neither does any of the examples.

Super frustrating for a project with 10K stars, I mean I do appreciate the effort, but really think the info for new people could be made ALOT better.

I almost gave up too as I am pretty new to Go and faced quite a few issues trying to install/deploy/etc. Got things working pretty smoothly now compiling static applications on Windows 10. What kind of issues are you facing?
