After getting libusb working I now get Problem connecting: Device not found which is solved by unplugging the usb cable, waiting a few seconds, plugging it back in, waiting for the lights demo, and then running the python program again.

I saw this first when connected to my Raspberry Pi. I tried everything I could think of/find, and it still was giving me this error, and it did not appear in lsusb. dmesg also showed errors. I then tried on my mac using a hub, and it still was giving the error "Device not found". I haven't dug as deeply while using my Mac to see if it is having the same errors in dmesg. I'll update this later with the exact errors and further results when I dig into it with my Mac.

Bottom line - I see this error even if I unplug it and plug it back in.
