The "Latest Release" is tagging version 2.6.2 for Mac as the latest release from 2015. https://sourceforge.net/projects/git-osx-installer/files/

SourceForge has an API to update it when new files are posted if relevant. https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/documentation/Using%20the%20Release%20API/
