Spotify added a fullscreen album art option (it even says that in the readme), so this whole app is pretty much deprecated. If there's enough interest I can look into trying to maintain it over on my fork.
Alternatively, have a look at #28 (https://github.com/l3d00m/spotispy), it's supposed to be more robust

@iantra Thanks for the heads up, didn't even notice that it was in the readme. I gotta admit I still prefer this app (and the fork) over spotify because it looks much prettier, has a progress bar and is easier to automate: I'm using it as a autostart in a Pi.

My fork should be a lot more robust because it uses the official API, which does rarely break. Every few months I have a bit spare time to maintain it, so it should be pretty decent :)
