This story is reproducable with various perls, I just used a v5.34.1: I build the new perl, install CPAN::Reporter, install Type-Tiny-XS; this gives the PASS report http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/6246e6fe-fa3b-11ee-aaa7-b8f845334300; now I try to install Type-Tiny; this gives a FAIL without sending a report due to an "invalid" dependency constellation; but after having seen the failing test, the cpan shell installs the recommended packages Class::XSAccessor, Devel::LexAlias, Ref::Util::XS, and Regexp::Util which together overcome the invalid dependency stuff; I retry to install Type-Tiny and now the result is the FAIL report http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/05ab395a-fa3f-11ee-8423-1c6946334300
