Use libraries styled with Token Studio

Hello everyone,
I'm having hard times to make token studio working for shared libraries.

Let's say I want to create a shared component library in Figma, where components are styled and themed with Token Studio. Then, that library should be imported to other figma projects and enable designers do their job, inheriting styles and tokens, as well as themes.

I setup the whole thing as follow:
library project

1. used token studio to import my JSONs (containing the tokens)
2. created styles from token studio
3. created some components and assigned styles with Figma
4. attached local styles to tokens (in the theme menu)
5. pushed the new JSON to my github repo
6. published the library

new figma file

1. import the library
2. import JSON with Token Studio
3. sync styles with Token Studio

At this point I expect that changing theme in this last file, the components from the library will change as well.
This doesn't happen.
On the other hand, I see that if I repeat the process styling my library's components with Token Studio (without picking styles from Figma), things work better.

Can you please help me providing a good workflow for this use case?
