Ideally, this feature should disable all Internet access, regardless of connection method (wi-fi or cable), but still allow LAN access, to allow machine-to-machine communication within the same local network.
Perhaps a whitelist of certain domains or addresses? I know it's probably terribly bad, but I use a lot of cloud stuff for working (like Google Drive) so disconnecting me would be bad, but I still don't want to get drawn into watching cat videos or whatever.
I might just be making this more complicated than it needs to be.
An option to automatically turn off wifi when working would be great.
