stack overflow during loading a huge list of files

hi. in order to merge files i'm going to load the list of files.
if this list ist small everything is ok
if this list is large, too large an i load it in small portions everything is ok aswell and the tool is working and merging hundreds and thousands of files to one sinlge file.
but: when i load the whole big list at once, then it results into a stack overflow

please modify the tool so it can load a very large list of files.
Im working with thousands of single pdfs to be merged and so it is a pain to me to load the big list in small portions.
