I was going through the Stata code for the applied example and noticed it is simulating 300 patients per simulated dataset, while the tutorial paper mentions 500 patients (page 18).
Which one is correct?

I just hit upon this same problem. It uses nobs = 300 in the R code too. I am inferring the paper should say num patients is 300 because when you run the R example with nobs = 500, you get SE estimates that are commensurately lower than those shown in Fig 3 of the paper.
