New TubesZB ZW Kit Serial Disconnected

I just received my brand new ZW kit, plugged in my Zooz ZWave module, connected it to my POE switch and accessed its webserver.

I'm seeing it say "TubesZB ZW Serial Connected" as OFF which didn't look correct. Given that, I decided to try accessing it via ESPHome Builder on HA. It discovers the device and allows me to take control of it. I click OK on its encrypted string and it goes through compiling and making a firmware file.

Once fully compiled I get an error it says

I've also seen it say ERROR Error receiving acknowledge version: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer in past attempts.

What am I doing wrong, how can I resolve this?

Edit - I decided to ignore ESPHome and just add it into ZWaveJS UI and it added fine, so maybe I should just ignore the ESPHome stuff and move on with my life?

Yes ESPHome can be left alone for most part. You can add the device to HA and get the serial sensor if wanted which can be useful. There are a few reasons why rebuilding ESPHome fw would be needed, generally this is when a static ip is needed for some reason.
