Copy and Paste button? #3816
-
Hey team - wondering if we have any existing patterns for unique copy and paste buttons. In a detail card in the Delivery Overview page, we want to surface an error code, and give users the option to copy the exact name of the code in order to avoid formatting mistakes: I initially used a slightly smaller link-style button + icon and tied it close to the header, but it still kind of feels like it's competing. Anyway, would love any feedback if you have it, thank youuu! |

Disclaimer: This is a very experimental bot using OpenAI's GPT-4. The answers may not be correct, a human will review the answer and update it if necessary. Sorry, I don't know how to help with that. I did do a search though, and I managed to find these other Discussions that might be similar or related to your question. Give them a read to see if they answer your question. If they do, head back here and update this discussion and mark it as answered, pointing others to the related discussion:

More context: They need to be able to copy the code exactly - so And if they are copying it from the app, we think the next steps would be to pass it in a request to the public API endpoints to get the error data if that makes sense. |

Hey @ceyerkes ! Here are the explorations we shared with you in our mini working session: https://www.figma.com/file/KlWRgdZx0mfbPEnOB7ZuYp/Paste-Feedback?type=design&node-id=313-23117&mode=design&t=FJtW0pRbPDd04pWa-0 Definitely let us know if you learn more about the user flow after the user copies the code, and if it affects this copy pattern at all! |
