Expanding item within visual picker

Hi all- is this is an okay way to use the viz picker. I need to allow people to select 2 levels of hierarchy, but only some items have 2 layers- for this example they need to select the resources they want to sync, and underneath 2 of the resources there are collections, can we have the collections show up after the resource is selected? Or is there a better suited component?

Also- alternatively, the list could show outside of the visual picker card, as shown here:

For the first solution you shared, you won't be able to nest a Checkbox Group inside a Visual Picker since clicking on any part of a Visual Picker item selects the item. You can play around with the interaction here: https://paste.twilio.design/components/visual-picker
