Can Twilio Paste be used in desktop applications?

Actually YES! Introducing GitSquid (https://github.com/deeleman/git-squid), a Git issues viewer and reader (and a permanent WIP pet project) with support for multiple repos built on top of Electron that creates a fully desktop experience leveraging Twilio Paste in its dark theme flavour.

The application leverages Twilio Paste components "as is" with barely any use of Twilio primitives to provide a a fully functional desktop app whose UI is deeply inspired by the one of WhatsApp desktop.

This is also a great example of how nicely does Twilio Paste play with Vite, Vitest and Electron.

I keep working on extending test coverage ATM and PRs are welcome!

This is actually an open-source project under the MIT License, so it’s meant to be shared (though it’s still in alpha). The squid icon is also an open-source asset, and I’ll likely replace it soon with a new logo. :)
