          <p>UAV Austin is a student-run technical organization with the emphasis in engineering and leadership
            education of its members as well as the community.</p>

          <h1>Internationally Competitive</h1>
          <p>UAV Austin competes in the annual Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition hosted by the AUVSI Seafarer
            Chapter in Maryland. Most recently in June of 2019, the team ranked 14<sup>th</sup> overall and 3<sup>rd</sup>
            in the technical paper among 75 international and domestic teams.</p>

        <p class="lead">
          UAV Austin is a student-led technical organization that specializes in fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems
          based at The University of Texas at Austin.
        </p>
        <p class="lead mb-4">
          With faculty mentorship and support from the UT Austin Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering
          Mechanics, the organization partakes in building a semi-autonomous aircraft every year to compete in the
          <a href="https://www.auvsi-suas.org/">Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS)</a> competition hosted by
          the <a href="https://www.auvsi.net/seafarerchapter/home">Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems
          International (AUVSI) Seafarer Chapter</a> in Maryland.
          UAV Austin is involved in both hardware and software aspects required for a UAS. The involvement ranges
          from computer-aided design (CAD) modeling and structural analytical studies to obstacle avoidance and
          computer vision.
