Preliminary checklist

  • I have read the README
  • I have searched existing issues for my feature request. This is a new issue (NOT a duplicate) and is not related to another issue.
  • I have searched wont fix issues and this request is not among them
  • This is a feature request for the Cromite browser; not the website nor F-Droid nor anything else.

Is your feature request related to privacy?

Yes

Is there a patch available for this feature somewhere?

No there isn't

Describe the solution you would like

When you add and activate a Greasemonkey-style user script, it runs continuously, which is often unnecessary and inefficient. This constant activation can lead to undesirable behavior, such as repeatedly redirecting a page

Describe alternatives you have considered

It would be great if users could add their Greasemonkey-style user scripts to Toolbar Shortcuts. This way, scripts could be executed with a single click, only when needed, instead of being continuously active. For example, since Google Translate is not supported in Cromite, I created a Greasemonkey-style user script to launch the current URL with Google Translate: "htťps://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=". However, due to the script's constant activation, it repeatedly redirects to the Google Translate page. Adding the script to the Toolbar Shortcuts would solve this problem by allowing one-time activation, enhancing usability and control.
