For Radarsat-2 I used the same function than Sentinel-1 to load heading angle (load_ground_heading).
When we compare the results between data already computed on Cyclobs (netcdf files) and data computed by the load_ground_heading function, we notice that values are the same on average.

  • A first problem is that the range of values is bigger on Cyclobs ground heading than on xsar one (it means that the calculation method isn't the same.
  • Also, xsar ground heading is rotated; is it the result of a convention?

We have to investigate further to say whether or not it is an issue in xsar.
