Upgrade base Storybook to the latest available stable version at the time of implementation. Upgrade React to v18 and refactor stories accordingly. Prepare for Storybook 7 release, implementing fixes for breaking changes and refactoring all deprecating features.

Storybook 7 is out of beta already and going through the last pre-release sprint: https://github.com/storybookjs/storybook/releases
