Approach Linux command line (sh/Perl/Python) interface to Google groups

I am a passionate software developer who strives to learn new things and implement them. I have been browsing multiple projects and this one in particular felt challenging and worth investing time and energy in , and here I can see large impact being created

I would love to leverage python as Python works well with Google APIs and can be easily called from shell scripts.

Create a tool that can:
-Add person (email address) to a group.
-Remove person from a group.
-Change a person's status, e.g. to make them owner/manager of a group.
-Check to see if specific email address is in a group.
-Remove person from all groups.
-List all groups in the org for which specific person is a member.

Additional to this we can add few more topics-

• SubGroup Mailing-create a sub-broadcast kind of thing which will pickup and send mails to certain members in that group.
• Bulk Operation Management with Audit Trail: Implement the ability to perform bulk operations (additions/removals) with detailed logging and an audit trail. This would allow administrators to track who made changes, when they were made, and provide rollback capabilities in case of mistakes. The feature could include generating reports of changes made during synchronization, which would be valuable for compliance and troubleshooting.

ps- I wasnt able to find any repo where anyone has started contributing to this project, I would request the maintainers to create a repo where I can create issues according to requirements and start working.
please let me know if this is something I could work on priority and build up from scratch
