On the implementation of SocketCAN for Linux platforms, there were some tests that were not runnable with the current implementation (until commit 725b059 resolved that issue). These changes reverted show that the current implementation is lacking critical features to actually make it function. This also affects downstream projects such as unofficial-rev-port/node-can-bridge.
